Nortel Enhanced VoiceMail

 

On July 15, 2003 Nortel Networks announced that no new Meridian Mail systems, introduced in 1988, would be shipped beyond Q4 2004.

 InTouch Digital Systems can now offer a cost-effective alternative to CallPilot, which retains all the power and features of Meridian Mail.  Supporting all Meridian 1 and Norstar PBXs as well as any Nortel systems that are capable of using 2616 handsets. 

All the normal features of Meridian Mail with the following Enhancements:

 Unified Communications

Message delivery via eMail that is not client dependant.  Works with all eMail systems, and requires no user licenses.

Message delivery to any telephone, cell phone or pager.

Cellular text message notification via SMS.

Notification to multiple numbers/devices with time and day controls.

 Auto-Receptionist

Multiple Auto-Receptionist’s can operate simultaneously as primary interfaces or as backup to a receptionist, individuals, or departments.

Easy-to-use menus, including dial by name or transfer to a human receptionist, all guide your callers swiftly to their destination.

Assists callers through the menus combining power with ease of use.

Auto-Receptionist menus are configurable, each providing powerful features for call handling or information delivery.

Auto-Receptionist can operate on pre-set schedules to process calls, routing calls differently based on time of the day, or day of the week, and even knows all your company holidays.

Offer simple to use Dial By Name service for enhanced routing option to callers.

The administrator can change any company greetings at any time.

Functioning as an Information Desk, InTouch Digital can offer answers to commonly asked questions through AudioText delivery.

FaxMail

The InTouch FaxMail system provides three separate faxing solutions for both incoming and outgoing faxes. All within the security of the your own data network, no need for complex VPN tunnels and additional security controls.

Fax Mail is the logical partner to VoiceMail. Here a caller can record a “voice cover sheet”, describing a fax, before transmitting the fax.

Once received a recipient can print the fax to their personal printer or fax machine, or have InTouch forward it to any fax machine in the World from their voicemail box.

Users that have Unified Messaging active will receive both the voice message and the fax, in their eMail, where it can be read or forwarded to others.

 

Secure Fax

Simply using your current fax numbers with the InTouch Server, you are now guaranteed never to loose an important incoming fax.

All incoming faxes are received by InTouch, stored in a dedicated mailbox, before being printed to any assigned network printer or other fax machine.

 Optionally faxes can be sent to other users automatically.

All printing problems are eliminated as InTouch persists until it is successfully printed.

Fax On Demand

Allow your callers to retrieve information via fax either on the same call (from a fax machine) or by call-back (from a phone).

In today's Internet economy fax is still the preferred form of communication for classified or legal documents.

Fax on Demand provides a complement to your website as 99.9% of all businesses own a fax machine, but not nearly as many have Internet access.
