Digital Announce Hospitality
Industry Collaboration
Richardson, TX & American Canyon, CA –
October 5, 2004 --- Samsung Telecommunications
America Business
Communications Systems is pleased to announce a
strategic collaboration with In Touch Digital Systems of American Canyon,
CA that will provide a total
application package allowing Samsung’s Authorized Dealer Network to take
command of the lucrative Hospitality Industry market, by offering Resorts,
Hotels, Motels and Bed & Breakfast properties a full solution to Guest
Management and Guest Services. In conjunction with the use of a Samsung
iDCS 500 telephone system, the companies can now supply full-featured
Hotel/Motel voicemail and auto-receptionist services with full integration
to the iDCS 500, which can be packaged together with all the functions of
a typical Property Management System. This packaged solution
is centered around the Samsung iDCS 500, the premier system in Samsung's
elite line of telephony products. Its dynamic scaleable architecture can
accommodate tremendous growth at low incremental cost, making it the
perfect answer for the communications needs of medium and large hotels. As
a forerunner in digital convergence technology, the iDCS 500 brings
together traditional voice, voice over IP (VoIP) and data to create a
fully integrated communications solution. With a host of industry leading
connectivity features, the iDCS 500 richly deserves its place at the
forefront of the communications revolution. This new association with InTouch Digital Systems creates an
exciting set of new customer solutions which allow Authorized
Samsung Dealers
to target the
lucrative hospitality marketplace, with a full turnkey product that will
integrate with any Hotel’s Property Management System (PMS), and provide
guests a full featured voicemail and information system coupled with the
power of the Samsung iDCS 500 digital system. The InTouch Digital is a highly reliable server designed for ease of use. The familiar telephone user interface is based on a single-letter mnemonic, such as “P” for Play, “D” for Delete, or “A” for Answer. The user interface can be customized to each hotel’s needs, with support for multiple languages as well as customized prompts. Flexible,
feature-rich applications can be customized to meet a property’s unique
needs. Guest mailboxes may be configured for the simplest possible
operation, while staff mailboxes may allow advanced features. Applications
can be added cost effectively as the properties requirements change. InTouch Digital provides a full bi-directional interface between most PMS systems and the Samsung iDCS 500, allowing for fully automated PMS/PBX interfaces to provide security and real-time billing information for all guest functions. Utilizing the hotel's iDCS 500 and the Property Management System ensures that guest mailboxes are automatically activated upon check-in and cleared or deactivated on checkout. If a guest moves to a different room, messages can be forwarded automatically, and the system can retain messages for a guest after checkout as determined by the property. Control of the new message indication on the guests' telephone is automatic and accurate. InTouch Digital systems will interface with virtually any PMS system on the market today. Operator/Text
Messaging allows the hotel operator to accept packages and to take
messages for a guest. The guest will then receive a voice message in their
mailbox prompting them to "Call the front desk for messages".
This notification is activated with a simple command by the operator
through the hotel console. This new family of products can also provide many additional guest services, such as “What’s on in Town” and Pizza orders as well as booking taxi and limo services on line. These voice services can provide an extra source of income to the property. - # - About Samsung Telecommunications America L.P. Samsung
