InTouch Digital announces a unique upgrade program for Centigram users.
American Canyon, CA – March 31, 2004 ---- InTouch Digital Systems today unveiled an unprecedented program that will allow current users of the Series 5, Series 6 and AIP Centigram voicemail systems, which no longer have full manufacturer support, to revitalize their systems with new software and minor hardware changes.
Centigram which is no longer in business, its assets having been absorbed into other companies, was designed in the mid 1980's and made use of the technology of the day, had not released any new software or hardware since November 1999.
The upgrade program allows Centigram users to maximize their former investment and most importantly move to a modern voice server, while retaining all their current services and most importantly their current user interface. The Centigram intuitive user interface uses telephone keys such as "A for Answer, D for Delete and P for Play" to navigate through the voicemail services. Most users of the Centigram systems have become familiar with this interface and would resist any change and its inherent training and acceptance period.
InTouch Digital Systems have designed an upgrade path that would replace all of the technologically out-dated portions of the system with current state-of-the-art technology, while retaining most of the existing infrastructure. Based on the widely accepted Microsoft Windows Operating System, the InTouch Digital Server replicates all of the features, feel and function of the out-dated system.
Customers availing themselves of the upgrade program will find that there is no system down-time, and that all conversion of mailboxes, services, features, as well as all voice recordings will be fully automated. The InTouch Digital Server can even run in parallel with the older system during the upgrade process, thereby ensuring a flawless conversion.
Most importantly after the upgrade CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) and SP (Service Provider) customers will find that they are now in a position to implement a myriad of new services for their end users, as they will be based on a full Unified Communication platform, designed to work with all today's communication devices. These include telephones, cellular phones, text messaging, email, PDAs IM services and pagers, while having seamless integration with any number of back-office data systems, allowing for faster fully automated information exchange in both directions.
